Probate is the court procedure for proving the validity of a Will and appointing the estate trustee.  It involves an application to the Court wherein the Court reviews the Will and confirms that it satisfies all formal requirements.  Once the Court is satisfied with the validity of the Will and certain other requirements, it issues a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee with a Will. If there is no Will, there are other steps to be taken which will result in the issuance of a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee Without a Will.

The questions that may arise during this process may include: What steps need to be taken to sell a property owned by an Estate?  Do we need to apply for Probate?  What are the duties of an Estate Trustee?  We can help with these issues and many others which arise in the context of dealing with an estate.
